Quick Summary
The 2022 lineup is out and with it come improvements to the already stellar ProForm Pro HIIT H14, which pairs HIIT (high intensity interval training) with joint-friendly motion, as well the latest in iFit technology. As an exercise style, HIIT supports quick weight loss, dramatically improves aerobic capacity and brings many other health benefits. Just a few eye-catching specs for this particular trainer are 26 resistance levels, a 14-inch touchscreen, iFit technology, and cool multi-grip handlebars which allow for punching movements.
We’d say a good comparable to the ProForm Pro HIIT H14 would be the Bowflex Max Trainer series, but given the pricing, the ProForm model is probably tops there.

Our Rating
Rating: 96.0/100. Successor to the ProForm HIIT Trainer Pro, the Pro HIIT H14 is a the top-of-the-line trainer in a unique series from ProForm, the world’s top-selling brand of home fitness machines. It arrives at a time when low-impact exercise alternatives are more sought-out than ever. If you crave high-intensity training but have been held back by potential joint pain, a Pro HIIT H14 could be your ideal exercise partner. It combines a vertical elliptical footpath (10 inches up, five inches forward) with upper body motion that’s reminiscent of boxing. This combination of movements burns calories very quickly throughout a training session, and especially when the trainee alternates between high and low intensities. By pushing the heart into the anaerobic mode for short time periods, a person can dramatically improve aerobic capacity and their everyday metabolic rate.

As for user skill level, this machine is most appropriate for people who are already rather active, but it is highly customizable. Trainees choose from 26 resistance levels and can get live guidance by way of the renewable 30-day iFit Family Membership which comes included with the package. Users can communicate with, and participate in, live workout sessions where professional trainers can adjust the resistance of the machine at home to fit the group program. This is a great feature for those who struggle with self-motivation while exercising alone, as the trainers can monitor and adjust the machine’s resistance and speed to keep up with the group. A diverse array of trainers are available for workout programs just as varied in locations around the globe. All the while, the user’s individual training data is digitally recorded into the tablet to measure progress. The console’s 10-inch color touchscreen helps make the most of iFit’s workouts, tracking and other features.
Another upside is the 2022 model comes with more than 50 built-in workout programs and routines that work with or without iFit. Yes, the machine will work without iFit, and if the app doesn’t suit you, there are options. The Pro HIIT H14 has commercial-quality ergonomics and is loaded with special features to keep motivation strong: smartphone-compatible speakers, a tablet computer holder and more.
Please note that high-intensity interval training may be risky for people with Type II diabetes, high blood pressure, and certain other health conditions.

Introduction
The low impact Pro HIIT H14 is the most advanced fitness machine of its kind. In a nutshell, this unique cross-trainer caters to people who are drawn to the remarkable effects of HIIT (high-intensity interval training) but have been wary of stressing their joints. It’s also a great timesaver as it provides resistance for the upper body and lower body simultaneously. Sale priced at $1,599 it’s a fantastic value for serious trainees, and even at full price it’s a good deal.

The Pro HIIT H14 provides lower body exercise with cushioned pedals that move in a smooth upward-and-forward path. The path is essentially a hybrid of what stair climbers and elliptical trainers provide, and trainees can choose from 26 tension settings. At the same time the HIIT supports upper body toning with handlebars that move the arms in boxing-like motions. With multiple grip possibilities a trainee can reposition to isolate specific muscle groups in the arms, shoulders, back and core.
Workout Programs
The Pro HIIT H14 comes up complete with membership in the iFit family of programming. Many but not all of the workouts focus on high-intensity interval training, cycling the trainee through periods of very high intensity and lower intensity activity. Live-streamed workouts with professional trainers around the world can be as varied as the users, with the trainers able to adjust the machine settings from their remote location. With a household iFit subscription up to four trainees can create user profiles and download customized daily workouts. iFit members also have access to an ever-growing library of high definition workout videos from prominent personal trainers. These workouts, streamed or video, display on the Pro HIIT H14’s 14-inch screen, tablet computers, and on smartphones.
In addition to the iFit package, the machine comes pre-loaded with more than 50 different workouts based on metrics.
Pro HIIT H14’s Features
For smooth operation the Pro HIIT H14 has a 30-pound flywheel. This facilitates smooth operation for trainees at all ability levels and regardless of body weight. The machine has a 325-pound user weight capacity.
The cushioned foot pedals are oversized, allowing for repositioning of the feet during exercise.
The handlebars are curved to allow multiple grip positions. As they move with resistance, they can give an excellent tone for the arms, back, shoulders and core body.
The console’s centerpiece is a 14″ Smart HD touchscreen. This high-definition display not only shows workout programming and exercise stats, but also has an Internet browser. And in case you’d like to use your own apps along during training, the Pro HIIT H14 has a built-in tablet holder. Musical motivation is made convenient with a smartphone-compatible port and 2-inch Bluetooth console speakers.
Warranty & Guarantee
The Pro HIIT H14 has a confidence-instilling warranty package:
– Frame: 10 years
– Parts: 2 years
– Labor: 1 year
ProForm also offers a 30-day money back guarantee for fitness equipment purchased factory-direct.
Conclusion
Powerful yet low impact, the Pro HIIT H14 is an eye-catching alternative to standard elliptical machines and steppers. While this brand-new model obviously hasn’t been tested by time, it does have high-end specs, a money-back guarantee and an excellent warranty for the $1,599 sale price. It can be a wonderfully rewarding investment, facilitating the benefits of high intensity interval training without bringing the risks of repeated impact. The rapid results of HIIT may be motivation enough, but this trainer also has plenty of workout programming, a tablet ledge and music speakers to help owners meet their goals.
Trainer’s Tips for the ProForm Pro HIIT H14
With unique handlebars, the Pro HIIT H14 offers a number of ways to incorporate upper-body movements into what is normally a lower-body workout. I can see the punching movement here as a much better way to incorporate the triceps into the workout as opposed to the traditional push-grip style. That said, I’d recommend giving those different grip styles a try to see how can help, particularly on the pulling motion. The potential to incorporate biceps and triceps into this workout is too good to pass up.
