Gold’s Gym GG480 Review

Intro

Gold's Gym GG480 Treadmill

If price really is everything, you cannot go wrong with the Gold’s Gym GG480.

Retailed at under $400, the GG480 is insanely cheap, but it does show in the quality of the treadmill. Sure, it’s serviceable and really compact, but like anything in life: you get what you pay for.

The CG480 includes only a 90-day warranty on parts and labor because many of the treadmill’s components are made with cheap material and no warranty on frame. This treadmill is truly designed for light (small size) walkers, even though it boasts users up to 300 pound capability. Learn more by reading our full Gold’s Gym GG480 treadmill review below…

Introduction

The Gold’s Gym GG480 is a Walmart exclusive and appropriately priced.

It’s always nice to have a budget option on the market and the GG480 represents that to its core.

The motor is average for the price (2.5 HP Peak, 1.5 Continuous), although we are hesitant to think that its tiny running surface (18″x50″) will suffice for most users.

As noted above, the 300 lbs. weight limit is a little generous. Users should probably be 200 lbs. or under because even if the frame does support your frame, the walking/running surface will not.

Workout Programs

The CG480 treadmill offers four performance and four weight-loss workouts.

While the weight-loss exercises help you reach your weight loss goals, the two 1lb. hand weights sculpt your arms, back, and shoulder muscles.

These weights accessories are incorporated into the workouts with an indicator light for use.

Treadmill Features

The CG480 fits nicely into even the smallest apartments and although this is a compact treadmill.

The AirStride Plus Cushioning helps reduce impacts on knees, back, and joints.

The RaceTrack feature is designed to keep you motivated and reach your fitness goals quickly.

The CG480 also has a blue-tinted display that tracks time, distance, pulse, speed and burned calories. Be aware though that the display has no backlight and can be hard to read, if not placed in the correct spot.

Warranty & Guarantee

The Gold’s Gym GG480 treadmill warranty and guarantee includes:

– Motor: 5 Years
– Parts: 90 Days
– Labor: 90 Days

Return Policy: 6 weeks, 100% money-back. Call (800) 675-9973 and ship back for refund of purchase price.

Conclusion

The Gold’s Gym GG480 is an opportunity to work out from home on a tight budget. If you are a small size user with limited house space and don’t intent to pound the deck for long periods of time every day, the Gold’s Gym CG480 is a decent buy.

However, if you have a little extra money to spend, toss in a couple hundred more and consider purchasing a sturdier built treadmill with more versatile features.
