Introduction

The Yowza Captiva features many of the conventional features of trainers in the 21st century (cooling fan, iPod dock, LCD display), but also does some really special things when it comes to the actual workout experience.

This unique elliptical is capable of reaching an incline of 50 percent which is the best in the industry. Users familiar with other Yowza ellipticals also get the Cardio Core upper body motion and Sure-Fit self pivoting pedals.

If that is not enough, the Yowza Captiva also sports a variable stride length (18 to 28 inches) so it can support anyone from tall to short, skinny to oversized.

Workout Programs

The Yowza Captiva features 12 preset programs including 9 user memory profiles.

If you share the elliptical with other household members, the individual profiles allow you to store weight, height and gender for a customized workout routine.

Workout programs include: Target Time, Target Distance, Endurance, Core Interval resistance, Target Calories, Watts Control Program and more.

The Heart Rate Control (HRC) program controls resistance to keep users in a specified heart rate range. The wireless heart rate belt (included with purchase) keeps you within a specified range and those readouts are available courtesy of the LCD display.

Yowza Captiva Features

The Yowza Captiva is captivated by 50 percent incline, undoubtedly one of the highest incline ranges on the market.

If you have never exercised on a trainer that provides incline, the ability to adjust it from 0-50% presents users with a number of different challenges and workout variety.

Combined with Yowza’s patented Cardio Core upper body technology and variable stride length, the Captiva elliptical is one versatile piece of exercise equipment.

Cardio Core upper body motion is designed to give a different workout compared to traditional straight forward handlebars. It’s what Yowza claims is a “superior” upper body workout.

The variable stride length is a really nice feature. The vast majority of ellipticals have a fixed stride length and if you have multiple people using the trainer the fixed stride length might not be suitable for all household members. Consequently, the variable 18″ to 28″ should accommodate just about any body shape and size.

If music is synonymous with your workout experience, you will surely appreciate the iPod docking station and hi fidelity speakers available directly on the Yowza Captiva console.

Sure-Fit self-pivoting pedals common on all Yowza ellipticals are a subtle yet notable addition.

Stay cool with a built-in 3-speed cooling fan. The cooling fan adjusts to three different speeds, keeping you nice and comfortable during intense workouts.

Eddy Current Braking system (with 16 levels of resistance) supports the rear drive, variable motion elliptical (VME).

Warranty & Guarantee

The Yowza Captiva elliptical warranty and guarantee includes:

Conclusion

The Yowza Captiva deserves your attention. With so many products out there it is common to see a lot of redundancy among specs, but the Captiva is actually doing some things different which is admirable to say the least.
