Thanks to Precor classics like CrossRamp and EFX technology, the 5.33 elliptical delivers a ton of versatility yet doesn’t separate itself too much from the Precor EFX 5.37 and 5.25.

Workout Programs

The Precor EFX 5.33 elliptical offers 10 workout programs.

Preset programs include: Aerobic Endurance, Cross Trainer, Gluteal, Heart Rate, Hill Climb, Interval, Manual and Weight Loss.

Two user IDs allow you to enter and store personal preferences, ideal if the trainer is used by more than one household member.

The streamlined/advanced LED display provides readouts of Calories, Distance, Heart Rate, SmartRate, Strides, Strides per minute, Time, Vertical feet climbed, Workout summary and more.

Like a lot of Precor trainers the EFX 5.33 elliptical is compatible with wireless heart rate monitors yet not included with purchase. Touch/Pulse Grips are available for an alternative heart rate method.

The Precor EFX 5.33 features the manufacture’s patented CrossRamp technology. CrossRamp gives you the option of altering the height of the elliptical path your foot travels.

Otherwise known as Variable Stride Geometry, the idea is that by altering the height of your foot path it allows you to focus on a specific muscle group or all major lower-body muscle groups.

Like the Precor EFX 5.37 the CrossRamp is automatically controlled. No need for manual adjustments.

Incline is available from 15 to 30 degrees. Combined with the reversible pedal rotation and the Precor EFX 5.33 is awful versatile in workout variety.

Another patented trademark of Precor is the low-impact EFX motion. Extremely smooth and providing a natural stride, EFX technology is designed to provide the lowest ‘Rate of Perceived Exertion’ of any cardio exercise system to make your workouts more comfortable, even though you are working out strenuously.

The handlebars on the Precor EFX 5.33 are not fixed enabling the user to get an upper body workout while they also challenge specific leg muscles.
