Consumer Warning: It appears that Yowza Fitness may no longer be in business. After repeated attempts to get ahold of them as well as reported customer issues, we can no longer recommend their products.

The Yowza Fitness Lido resembles the Yowza Sebring, another new line that features the company’s patented Intelligent Weight Management (IWM).

Intelligent Weight Management is a virtual personal assistant that seeks to maximize workout results based on your own unique body type and individual weight loss goals.

Treadmill Speed is measured in Miles Per Hour (mph). Average running speed is 5-9 mph.

0.5 - 8.8 mph

Treadmill Incline measures the angle of the deck, and how steep it is relative to the floor (0% is flat, and 15% is like a steep hill).

2 Levels
Manual Adjustment

The Treadmill Motor is what turns the belt as you run. We recommend at least 2 HP (Horsepower) motors, 2.5+ HP for jogging, and 3.0+ HP for running.

2.5 CHP

Treadmill Deck dimensions are measured in inches: Width x Length. The wider and longer the deck, the safer it is (55-60 inches long recommended for running).

17" x 51"

The Treadmill Belt is the surface you run on. The thicker the belt, the less impact on your joints. At least 2-ply (1 inch) recommended.

Multi-layer PVC
Nylon-Polyester Whisper Weave bottom

Some treadmills are designed to conserve space by folding up. This is a convenient option, but some features might be reduced.

Treadmill Programs allow you to complete a workout with changing speeds and inclines, without changing anything manually.

Max. Weight

Treadmill Max User Weight is the amount of weight, in pounds (lbs), that it can safely support, which can represent durability.

250 lbs
Heart Rate

Heart Rate programs allow you to track how many times your heart is beating per minute (bpm), and some control the workout for you.

Pulse Grips

Dimensions are included to help you figure out if this treadmill will fit properly (Length x Width x Height and Height x Depth).

63" x 32" x 52"
Weight: 182 lbs

Treadmill Display refers to the screen you'll look at to monitor workouts. LED and LCD displays are similar to TV screens.

Backlit Blue LED
Cooling Fans

Treadmill Cooling Fans are designed to help keep you cool during an intense workout.

Accessory Tray

Some treadmills include an accessory tray for holding items such as water bottles, wallets, keys, or MP3 players like iPods.

Treadmills that include a sound system allow you to listen to your MP3 player/iPod through built-in speakers (no headphones).

Quick Controls

Quick Controls allow you to select speed, incline and even workout programs with the touch of a button (usually on the handles).

The Yowza Lido, along with the Sebring and Daytona, is one of the new fourth quarter releases of 2012 from Yowza Fitness.

These treadmills have the potential to not only be high sellers during New Year Resolution season, but also into the foreseeable future thanks to the amazing new technology known as Intelligent Weight Management (IWM).

IWM is the first program since iFit Live, and quite possibly the only true one to present a workout routine 100% catered to you and your individual needs.

It’s an intriguing feature that will certainly be the focal point of Yowza Fitness heading into 2013.

Workout Programs

The Yowza Lido clearly separates itself from other treadmills on the market thanks to Intelligent Weight Management (IWM).

Designed by Yowza and exclusive to the brand, IWM provides a plan and solution. The digital scale provides a quick weight reading, similar to getting heart rate readouts courtesy of the wireless chest strap, which then goes to the treadmill’s console.

After carefully studying your latest reading (in regards to previous readings) IWM produces a personalized exercise program to accommodate your physical needs and help burn extra calories.

In the past few years, treadmills (as well as other forms of fitness equipment) have attempted to create a more personalized workout routine with programs like iFit Live. And while iFit is generally well received, critics argue that iFit is too generic and don’t support controversial celebrity trainer Jillian Michaels as being the “face” of the product.

If you agree with that statement and/or have even tried iFit Live with little to no satisfaction, Intelligent Weight Management might be for you.

Ultimately, in a day and age where technology is so much a part of our daily lifestyle, treadmills should not be behind the gap of technological innovation. The Yowza Fitness Lido is attempting to change that with IWM.

Treadmill Features

The Yowza Fitness Lido is clearly all about Intelligent Weight Management and, while a good thing, the treadmill perhaps didn’t spend enough time focusing or selling other features on the treadmill.

IWM could completely reinvent the fitness industry, though we won’t know for sure until customers of products like the Sebring and Lido speak out. In the meantime we would like to be optimistic and say it is a very innovative feature.

Looking past IWM, the Yowza Lido is shipped 100 percent assembled and ready to use in five minutes. It is obviously a huge relief for consumers of other treadmills that have spent hours putting their piece of exercise equipment together.

The Yowza Lido also folds and features space saving folding technology. It does free up extra storage when not in use but please note the Lido is not the most compact unit available.

Details are still fairly limited on what else the treadmill is able to do. It is not compatible with mp3 players and features very few other extras popular in this price range.

Warranty & Guarantee

The Yowza Fitness Smyrna treadmill warranty and guarantee includes:

– Frame: Lifetime
– Motor: Lifetime
– Parts & Electronics: 3 Years
– Labor: 1 Year (In-Home)

The Yowza Fitness Lido is designed to provide the technology (IWM) to get the most out of your workout, every time. It’s a fun concept, though we won’t know for sure until satisfied customers get behind its results.
