Learn about its pros and cons in our complete Sport 7.5 Treadmill review below.

Our Rating

Rating: 87.8/100. The Sport 7.5 is one of ProForm’s most affordable home treadmills. It’s one of the simpler options in a lineup that also features the Sport 7.0, 9.0 S and 12.0 ST.

The ProForm Sport 7.5 is best suited to beginners and intermediate trainees. Key points are a 2.75 CHP motor and a long track with maximum 12% incline.

There are 24 built-in workouts and an iFit-enabled console. Treadmills in the Sport Series don’t have the fancy touch screens of other ProForm treadmills. The Sport 7.5 shows data on a circular LED that emphasizes watts. At a glance you can discern your workout zone (Endurance, Tempo or Peak).

This treadmill sells for $799 on sale ($1,299 MSRP) and has a two-year parts warranty.

Introduction

The Sport 7.5 is rather simple for a ProForm treadmill but has some of the features that make ProForm a popular brand: Lots of preset workouts are provided, the console is iFit-enabled, and digital entertainment is supported with an iPod-compatible sound system and a tablet computer holder.

For an extra workout boost it has a 12% power incline. The ProForm Sport 7.5 Treadmill carries a two-year parts warranty and is sold with a money-back guarantee. It normally sells for $1299 and could be yours for $799 during online sales events.

ProForm Sport 7.5 Features

To help you achieve fitness goals efficiently, the Sport 7.5 is loaded with 24 professionally-designed workout programs. These fall into two categories: Tempo and Interval. The programs automatically adjust the treadmill’s speed and incline so you can focus on performance.

The ProForm Sport 7.5 Treadmill is iFit-enabled too. Connect your tablet computer to enjoy the many training benefits of an iFit membership. iFit members can download customized workouts daily, choose from hundreds of high definition video workouts, and virtually train anywhere with Google Maps™ workouts. iFit’s Google Maps™ feature lets you choose any real-life route and experience it with an interactive Google Street View! As you walk or run the Sport 7.5 will automatically adjust its incline to mimic the mapped terrain.

Workout Programs

A highlight of the Sport 7.5 Treadmill is the automated incline. With a maximum tilt of 12 percent, the power ramp allows faster calorie burn and extra muscle toning. Incline training can also help approximate outdoor training conditions and relieve pressure from over your joints.

The tread track is the industry’s standard size (60″ x 20″) and has the same ProShox™ cushioning that’s used on more expensive ProForm treadmills. However, the track is thin.

A smartphone-compatible port is provided. A set of 2” speakers is integrated with the console.

The ProForm Sport 7.5 also features a secure holder for your tablet computer. Use your tablet for iFit or just for entertainment during treadmill time.

Exercise data are shown on ProForm’s new Watts LED. Reminiscent of a car’s speedometer, it has a circular readout that shows your power output. Inside the circle is a data window that can show the elapsed time, your incline level and other stats.

A workout fan is built into the treadmill console. It has two speeds to help you stay comfortable.

SpaceSaver technology with EasyLift™ Assist makes it simple to fold the Sport 7.5 for storage.

Warranty & Guarantee

The ProForm Sport 7.5 Treadmill warranty includes:

– Frame: Lifetime
– Deck: Lifetime
– Motor: Lifetime
– Parts: 2 Years
– Labor: 1 year

ProForm provides a 30-day money back guarantee on its treadmills.

Conclusion

The ProForm Sport 7.5 isn’t the fanciest or hardiest home treadmill, but it appeals to price-conscious shoppers who like the ProForm brand’s special features. FitRated doesn’t recommend this product. Even at the $799 sale price, it isn’t likely to deliver its money’s worth. For improved durability and quieter performance we recommend choosing a higher-level ProForm. Also consider buying a treadmill from NordicTrack, a brand with many of the same features for workouts and entertainment.
