Our Rating

Rating: 96.6/100. The ProForm Smart Pro 2000 is a great running treadmill for beginner to intermediate users. It is the entry-level treadmill in ProForm’s top tier Pro series collection, making it a good option to consider for your home gym.

The power  – 3.5 CHP Mach Z Commercial –  means it has enough durability, strength and speed  for consistent runners. It will challenge and withstand the demand required for the speed range of 0 – 12 MPH.

The incline/decline range of  -3-15%  allows for variety and resistance in your walk or run. The decline gives you the true sense of running outdoors while the 15% incline will add resistance, toning different muscles in your lower body.

The options for programs to workout are in the hundreds; the sheer volume of choices will keep you motivated while increasing your fitness levels. 50 are built into the console, where you are able to choose for speed, intensity, calorie burn and more. The rest are available via the iFit Coach app, through on-demand trainer-led videos from all over the globe – outdoors to in-studio! Furthermore, the Google Map incorporated with the app allows you to virtually visit any terrain on the globe; walk or run on the shores of Seychelles, the sidewalks of New York City or  up Mount Kilimanjaro – whatever your desire. It really doesn’t get any cooler that that. Actually … it does, the incline and decline automatically syncs with the elevation of the terrain you have chosen to run on or the hill grade your personal trainer led video wants you to level up too.

The track is a great size, considering most home treadmills are 55” and the Smart Pro 2000 is 60”. It’s spacious and will suit most gaits and stride lengths. It is also designed with cushioning to lessen the impact on your joints.

Pros:

  • 7” Smart HD Touchscreen
  • Track size:  22″ x 60″
  • 3.5 CHP Mach Z Commercial Pro
  • Power incline and decline (-3% to +15%)
  • 50 built-in workout apps
  • iFit Coach enabled for unlimited workouts, 1-year membership included
  • Audio auxiliary port with 3″ Bluetooth speakers
  • Lifetime guarantee on frame and motor
  • SpaceSaver Design with EasyLift (Foldable)

Cons:

  • Slow customer service

It has been one of ProForm’s customer favorites for years, and the 2019 version is no different – well maybe a little – with a few new and improved features.  From the 7” screen to accessing hundreds of programs and expert trainers and the -3 -15% decline/incline; it’s sure to continue being a customer favorite.

As well through the app you will have access to workout via Google Map and run on terrain anywhere Google Maps will take you – the beach in South France, the Blue Mountains in Jamaica or the city streets of San Francisco. Where ever your curiosity takes you. You will have constant motivation from your favorite trainer and a magnitude of options to increase strength and tone.

ProForm SMART Pro 2000 Features

3.5 CHP Mach Z (Motor Power): The motor power on the Smart Pro 2000 is good enough for runners.

Display: The 7” Smart HD Touchscreen, allows you to see with great clarity your stats, built in programs and the trainer-led videos on iFit Coach. It’s large enough to view without affecting your concentration or balance while working out.

iFit Coach Enabled: iFit Coach is an app that comes with access to hundreds of workout programs from professional trainers around the world. You can follow and include a mix of workouts from either the studio or outdoors. With purchase of the ProForm Smart Pro 2000, you will be given a one-year free membership to start off; at the end of your year you have the option to pay a monthly subscription fee.

Track: The size of the track at 22” x 60” is nice and roomy to run. The standard length for home treadmills is 55” and 60” plus for commercial gyms. It is also made to limit the amount of impact the constant pounding can have on your knees and joints with the ProShox Cushioning. The speed and incline/decline automatically increases and decreases to sync with the demands of each workout session or outdoor terrain. The larger size rollers, assists with decreasing noise and increasing longevity of the belt.

Heart Rate Monitor: The heart rate monitors are touch sensors located on the bars. Although, wireless monitors are more accurate, the grip sensor will still provide a good reading in your range.

Fan: A fan is integrated into the console to keep you cool if required.

Storage: The space saver design allows you to easily fold and move machine out of the way.

Weight Capacity: The weight capacity is 300 lbs. which means that it will be secure and stable for most users.

Warranty & Guarantee

The ProForm Smart Pro 2000 treadmill warranty and guarantee are both very good.

– Frame: Lifetime
– Motor: Lifetime
– Parts & Electronics: 5 Years
– Labor: 2 years

ProForm provides a 30-day money back guarantee on its factory-direct treadmills.

Conclusion

The ProForm Smart Pro 2000 is a good purchase for beginner and intermediate runners. The  3.5 CHP Mach Z power gives enough for speed and inclines. The belt size is longer than the standard home treadmill. Between the iFit app and the 50 on-board workout programs any consistent user will be challenged. The warranty is decent. Over all the Smart Pro 2000 is a great choice, but if you are looking for more power and bigger screens the Smart Pro 5000 and Smart Pro 9000 are good options to consider.
