Quick Summary
The NordicTrack Treadmill Desk Platinum is well-made for its purpose: a light or moderate workout to keep you moving while working. If your goal is to stop sitting for hours at a time, which is something that tends to happen when you are working, then this is a great investment. This latest model of the NordicTrack Treadmill Desk comes with an adjustable incline of up to 10%, a feature that was not available with the previous model. The motor of the treadmill has increased to 3 CHP (from 2.6) and the speed goes up to 8 MPH (vs. 6 MPH on its predecessor). A 3-window LCD display shows your speed, calories burned, distance and incline. It also displays your heart rate if you’re using the EKG grips. This treadmill does not come with any pre-loaded programs, but it is iFit-enabled, so you can get workout programs through iFit that will be accessible via your smartphone or laptop. With the generous desktop space, you will be able to rest both devices on the desk, a nice bonus. The especially great thing about both versions of the Nordictrack treadmill desk is that it can be adjusted from a treadmill desk to a sitting or standing desk in just a few steps.

Our Rating
Rating: 87.8/100. The NordicTrack Treadmill Desk Platinum has the same purpose as its precursor the NordicTrack Treadmill Desk, which is to get you up and moving while at work. However, there are some upgrades and increased options with this newer model. The Platinum features an adjustable incline that can go up to 10%, which provides more of a challenge when you walk or run and is good for toning your legs. The motor is stronger at 3 CHP, but it’s still a quiet machine. The 60″ belt is longer than the original treadmill desk belt, making it better for someone taller/with longer legs. The weight capacity has increased to 350 lbs. so most everyone can use this machine. The desktop is very spacious and equipped with a USB charging station. The speed capability has increased to 8 MPH with the Platinum, which is definitely fast enough for a challenging workout, should you want it. The treadmill does not come with any pre-loaded programs, but if you’re just using it while you work, they are not needed. If you want to shake up your cardio routine, the treadmill is iFit-enabled, though a membership is sold separately. With iFit you are able to enjoy a variety of virtual workouts and feel like you’re training anywhere in the world thanks to “Street View” which leverages Google Maps. As with the regular version of this machine, the desk is adjustable. Just fold it up in a few steps and you have a regular sitting or standing desk. It can also be tucked away, taking up minimal space.

Introduction
Treadmill desks are made to address the health concerns that have cropped up around sitting too long and the resulting hazards to our health. The NordicTrack Treadmill Desk Platinum addresses this issue, and, thanks to its increased incline and speed capabilities, lets you go a little harder to get a challenging workout in.
Workout Programs
The NordicTrack Desk Treadmill Platinum does not come with any programs, but it is iFit-compatible. The iFit program works with Google Maps and can make the user feel as though they’re walking or running anywhere in the world. The subscription is sold separately and can be accessed with your smartphone or laptop.
NordicTrack Desk Treadmill Platinum Features
Adjustable sitting and standing/spacesaver desk: The adaptable NordicTrack Treadmill Desk Platinum transforms from a treadmill with a desk to a normal desk (sitting or standing). As it transitions to a desk, it folds up and incorporates NordicTrack’s space saver design, making storage relatively convenient.
Desktop Display: Integrated into the desk, the 3-Window LCD display makes it easy to read your workout stats.
Work Surface: The desktop is generous in size (40” x 18”) and sturdy, it will fit a laptop and a couple of devices, or whatever your immediate needs might be.
USB Charging station: Located in the desk is a USB charger – convenient for keeping smartphones and devices charged.
iFit-compatible: With an iFit subscription you can enjoy custom programs through Google Maps that take you on virtual walks or runs anywhere in the world.
Track/Belt: The track is 18”x 60”, a little longer than the regular NordicTrack Treadmill Desk. This is helpful for those who are taller and/or have longer legs.
Quiet Work Zone: The motor on the NordicTrack Desk Treadmill is quiet; the Platinum upgrade has a 3.0 CHP motor with 2.5” non-flex rollers.
Warranty: NordicTrack offers a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Conclusion
The NordicTrack Treadmill Desk Platinum offers upgraded features vs. the regular treadmill desk such as the increased speed option, the 3.0 CHP motor and the incline capability, so you can enjoy a more strenuous cardio workout. It is a good-looking treadmill dressed up in woodgrain laminate to give it an “office feel.” Still, the most appealing thing about the Platinum, also available with the older version, is the ability for it to adjust from a treadmill desk to a sit-down or standing desk that can also be tucked away to save space.
