Introduction

The Life Fitness Platinum Club is the ultimate home treadmill for shoppers with higher budgets. It copies the design of a popular Life Fitness club treadmill and is built to endure, carrying a 10-year standard warranty on parts and lifetime warranties on its frame, deck and motor. It’s available in four colors and can be topped with three different consoles, the most advanced being a 19-inch touchscreen with TV and Internet. The consoles include up to 42 preset workouts and can connect with mobile fitness apps for more training programs. Basic specs for this luxury treadmill are a 60″ x 22″ track, a 15% power incline and a 4.0 HP motor (8.0 peak HP). Below are details about the Platinum Club Treadmill’s console programs, other features and long warranty.

Workout Programs

The Platinum Club Series Treadmill is sold with a choice of three consoles. The simplest is the Explore Console, which looks sleek and is intuitive to use. It has a 7-inch LCD and Bluetooth functionality, which you can use to download workout programming. It’s compatible with iPods and iPads, and it also connects with Apple and Android phones. The Explore Console supports unlimited user profiles and lets each user specify Quick Start settings (incline and speed).

The two entertainment-enhanced options are called the Discover SE and Discover SI. These touch screen consoles give access to TV, the Internet, popular mobile apps for fitness, and interactive Lifescape training courses. Each includes 42 preset workouts too. The Discover SE has a 19-inch screen. The Discover SI has a 10” screen. Like the Explore Console, the Discover models have Quick Start for unlimited user profiles and can download treadmill workouts from LFConnect and other apps.

The 42 workout programs on the Discover SE and SI are mostly categorized as Healthy Heart, Performance, and Goal Workouts. Several fitness tests are included too, such as the US Army Physical Fitness Test and a cardio endurance test. Taking the cardio test every month or so is a good way to track your endurance. Each preset workout can be completed with a customized cooldown.

An advanced option with the Discover consoles is to use Lifescape workouts. These are interactive video courses that virtually place you in scenic settings. Hike through New Zealand and be back in time for dinner!

Each console displays step-by-step instructions for setting up your workout. As you exercise it shows calories, calories per hour, distance, elevation climbed, pace in minutes per mile or kilometer, time, incline, speed, METS, Watts and heart rate.

Life Fitness Platinum Club Series Treadmill Features

Choose a treadmill that complements your decor. Life Fitness offers the Platinum Club with four frame colors: Arctic silver, black onyx, diamond white and titanium storm.

Depending on the console, the treadmill can have on-board Internet and TV. All versions of the Platinum Club are iPod compatible and can connect with smartphones and iPads. A secondary control panel gives quick access to the most often used functions.

Excellent cushioning is a hallmark of Life Fitness treadmills. FlexDeck cushioning on the Platinum Club makes treadmill running up to 30% gentler on your joints compared with outdoor running.

The tread track is premium quality. For durability it’s multi-layered and moves over 3.5″ rollers, and it requires no lubrication. The workout area is full length at 60″ and is extra wide, measuring 22″ across.

Extra-fast calorie burn and muscle toning are supported with a power incline. Choose ramp settings up to 15% and easily make adjustments as you exercise.

The Platinum Club can track your pulse with a wireless chest strap (included) or with touch sensors. Treadmill programming can use your heart rate info to control the machine’s intensity, helping you maintain a constant heart rate during training.

This machine can run constantly at 4.0 HP and put out 8.0 HP at its peak.
