Fitbit Surge: Discontinued and Discounted

The well-loved Fitbit Surge is on its way out.

With the forthcoming Ionic smartwatch heading up the line of Fitbit products, the Surge is no longer an option for future Fitbit owners. The good news is that you can get the Surge at a steep discount.

Fitbit Surge on Sale Now

If you’ve considered a Surge in the past, now is your last chance to pick one up. The price has been slashed considerably from its initial MSRP of $249, and Fitbit will continue to support the device even after it’s gone.

We have long been fans of the original smart fitness watch from Fitbit – it was a great entry into the line of fitness trackers, with features that made it similar to a smartwatch.

If you are looking for a high-quality fitness tracker on a budget, consider grabbing a Surge while supplies last.

I have had 2 Fitbit Surge watches. Both have had issues with their bands. The watch is very good, but the bands suck. I am tempted to get an Apple fitness watch. Also, what can I do with the 2 watches I have ?

Hi Jan, replacement bands are available for the Surge, which might help with your issues with it. Otherwise, you can either try selling your watches or take them into an electronics recycling location near you. Where can I purchase a surge replacement band that has the same quality as the original? Amazon’s bands are low quality

Hi Curtis, It doesn't look like there are any Fitbit branded bands on Amazon or on the Fitbit site. If you don't want to take a gamble on a third-party band, I think your best bet is to find a store that still has some stock (like Best Buy or something) or try exploring some other online stores like ebay. Good luck!

Curtis - Amazon doesn't sell bands directly, any you purchase from Amazon are from 3rd party sellers so the quality varies. I've purchased both good and bad ones from Amazon as well as eBay. They're so inexpensive that it makes sense to have a backup (eBay ones often ship from China) for when necessary to replace. Emery - Best Buy hasn't ever sold authentic Fitbit branded bands because Fitbit has never sold replacements, they're only available from third parties. Cheers!
