The One gets the advantage here because the battery life is longer, making it a little more convenient.

The One shows stats and tells steps climbed, for a more accurate depiction of your activity, but has a clip on style, which can be a hassle for people with limited time and are prone to forgetting things before running out.

The Flex can be worn and is water resistant, so you don’t have to think about taking it with you or removing it because of rain or a shower. However, it doesn’t tell you steps climbed, so there is no difference when calculating calories.

I've owned both trackers - love them both. I only have the Flex right now, because I threw my One into the washer and dryer last month. The problem with a clip-on tracker (the ONE), is that you forget that it's attached to your clothing and it ends up MIA. The Flex is really great too (few details on the read screen, but enough for me and a motivating Buzz when I reach my step goal) - and because it's on my wrist, I will be able to keep it safely until it dies of natural causes, vs a drowning accident. :-( As for the stair climbing count, I didn't notice any calorie benefit to that feature so it wasn't that important to me.
