Our Rating
Rating: 92.5/100. Self-Generating upright exercise bike doesn’t require a power source for energy efficiency. It offers more resistance levels than the Sole B94, and multiple warranty packages are also available.
The SOLE LCB is a bike with variety and though similar to the SOLE B94, offers slightly different options for its users. This bike is larger in overall size but the weight of the actual bike is minimal and still easy to maneuver. The LCB is a great bike for riders who are looking for various workout options on a machine similar to that you would find in en elite gym. It is affordable, comfortable and easy to navigate.
This model is stacked with options in the 10.1″ backlit blue LCD display including iPod dock and speakers, a cooling fan, 10 different workouts and 40 different levels of resistance. The display is more modern and offers a sharp image display that easy to navigate and understand. The display tells riders their heart rate monitored through the front of the handlebars, calories, levels, distance, bpm and pace. The console includes workout options you would find on a gym bike such as fat burn, cardio, resistance, etc. The speakers on the console are clear and reach a fairly loud volume but the unit also includes the option to use headphones alternatively. Need a place to rest your phone, keys, remote or water? This display includes one at the front, though may be awkward for different water bottles depending on shape and size.
The seat and set up for this bike are not comparable to a road bike but provide a comfortable cushioned seat that is adjustable in height and distance from the handlebars. Road cyclists may find the seat too large but could be removed or changed easily. The pedals are a slip-on system with adjustable straps to accommodate various foot sizes but do not offer the option for SPD clip-in. Riders can use this bike in their own running shoes easily. The handlebars are not adjustable so users must always ride upright rather than having the option of a more aerodynamic position.
The LCB must be plugged in to adjust resistance and enjoy the benefits of the various workouts on the display. The attached cord is located in the front of the bike vs. the previous B94 where it was in the back. While this bike is bulkier, it is a great option for personal use and riders looking for a gym-style machine to use in their own home. I gave this bike a 9.2 rating as it is efficient for riders to get a good sweat and burn calories, though I would not suggest this particular model for elite cyclists. Overall, this bike has great features and does the trick for riders who like options and variety. Between the LCB and the B94, the LCB is a more modern screen setting and offers more resistance options.
Pros:
- Wide selection of resistance levels (40 total)
- Heavy-duty 30 lb. flywheel for smooth performance
- Two warranty packages offered with purchase (for in-home or light commercial use)
- Comfortable gel seat (adjusts horizontal & vertical)
- Oversized 2 degree inversion pedals
- Cooling fan provided for added comfort
- Newly integrated iPod dock and built-in speakers for music lovers
Cons:
- Self-generating bike not for everyone
- 10 workout programs adequate but not overly impressive

Users weighing in up to 350 pounds discover many built-in comfort features including oversize cushioned foot pedals and cushioned gel seat.

Workout Programs
The Sole LCB bike is equipped with 10 exercise programs.
The hill program provides resistance similar to biking up and down a hill. The fat burn program simulates a steady exertion workout to burn maximum fat.
Cardio workout increases endurance for your heart and lungs. Muscular strength is achieved in the strength program, while interval workout alternates between high and low level intensity.
The fitness test program uses YMCA protocol to test your heart rate levels. Apply the two heart rate programs to achieve maximum benefits for this vital organ. Two user-defined programs allow you to customize your own workout.
Sole LCB Features
One of the unique features of the Sole LCB is the large 10.1″ backlit LCD display. Usually bikes priced in this range are equipped with a much smaller monitor.
Information such as age, weight, heart rate, speed and total virtual miles are displayed on the screen.
Vertical and horizontal adjustments on the seat as well as 2-degree inward slope adjustments on the pedals guarantee tailor-made comfort to each individual.
Additional features including the cooling fan and accessory tray allow you to focus on the bike without unnecessary interruptions during your workout.
