Introduction

NordicTrack has an exceptional reputation with ellipticals and treadmills yet their exercise bikes are equally notable.

As a result, the NordicTrack GX2 Sport may be an entry-level exercise bike (and not quite as appealing as higher priced models), but it’s a solid trainer.

The NordicTrack GX2 Sport is designed for both performance and comfort. The adjustable seat and handlebars is a nice feature, including a decent amount of padding on the seat.

Workout Programs

It is rare to find a fitness trainer regardless of type (treadmill, elliptical, exercise bike, etc) that does not feature at least a couple of pre-defined workout programs.

Consequently, the NordicTrack GX2 Sport is well behind the curve in terms of workout programs.

The upright bike is also not compatible with iFit Live which is becoming more and more common on exercise equipment.

Furthermore, the NordicTrack GX2 Sport has absolutely no way to monitor your heart rate which is disappointing because practically ever other exercise bike on the market does have at least built-in pulse grips.

Exercise Bike Features

The NordicTrack GX2 Sport provides the basics needed to burn calories and get back in shape.

The upright exercise bike features adjustable (and cushioned) seat as well as non-slip handlebars.

The non-slip handlebars are ergonomically designed to cut down on fatigue and prevent discomfort. Adjust the height to find the right fit and stay comfortable with the added handlebar grips.

For added intensity and advanced users, the oversized toe-cage pedals can be used with the opposite side up.

The NordicTrack GX2 Sport also has a steel frame which should last for at least five years (or, the length of its warranty, below).

Aside from that, the NordicTrack GX2 Sport is equipped with a water bottle holder, transport wheels and little else in terms of features.

Forget the iPod/mp3 dock, built-in speakers, integrated cooling fan and LCD/LED display. The NordicTrack GX2 Sport is extremely bare in terms of electronics.

Warranty & Guarantee

The NordicTrack GX2 Sport exercise bike warranty & guarantee includes:

– Frame: 5 Years
– Parts: 3 Months
– Labor: 3 Months (In-Home)

NordicTrack has a 30-day money back guarantee on all exercise equipment. Dial 1-866-896-9777 for questions and concerns.

Conclusion

The NordicTrack GX2 Sport does not have a ton of enticing features, but it’s enough to get the job done. The upright exercise bike is a quality entry-level trainer with all the tools to improve your health and little else in terms of entertainment.
