Rating: 90/100. The Landice U7 upright bike ($2,895) with optional TV is a luxury ride for home gyms. It provides all the benefits of a commercial exercise bike, plus it carries a lifetime residential warranty. The U7 is identical to Landice upright bikes seen in hotels and high-end health clubs. It’s also very similar to the recumbent Landice R7; the only difference is seat position.
To help you exercise efficiently, Landice loads its bike consoles with 10 workout programs. These can be tailored to your preferences for target heart rate zone, resistance, speed and more. Additionally Landice indoor bikes can save five user-designed exercise routines.
With each workout session the data feedback is very rich, as explained in the “Workouts” section of this Landice U7 review.

The Landice U7 is an upright exercise bike made in the USA. Featuring club-quality parts and electronics, it’s guaranteed for a lifetime of home use. Below we describe the Landice upright bike control panel, parts and lifetime warranty.
Landice bikes are loaded with 10 workout programs, all customizable for duration and intensity. A program controls the bike resistance and speed unless the rider uses manual controls. The choices include:
- Goal programs named Calories, Distance and Time
- Profile programs called Fat Burn, Hills, Interval, Mountain and Road (random)
- Heart rate control programs with Constant and Interval options
Furthermore you can save five self-designed workout programs to the U7 bike console.
Landice fitness equipment provides above-average workout feedback. While other stationary bikes have five or six data fields, the Landice upright bike offers the following:
- Elapsed Time
- Time Remaining
- Time in Heart Rate Zone
- Resistance Effort level (1 – 20)
- Distance logged in workout (Miles or kilometers)
- Heart Rate
- Target Heart Rate
Heart rate can be monitored with contact sensors or wirelessly. Contact sensors are built into the handlebars, and a wireless transmitter is sold separately. Color-coded lights (red, yellow and green) on the Landice bike console indicate whether you’re exercising above, below or within your target heart rate zone.
Landice U7 Features
Landice upright bikes have 20 magnetically-controlled resistance levels. The lowest setting is very light and may be appropriate for rehabilitative exercise. The toughest settings is 400 Watts, which is ample force for the typical home bike user.
Handlebars on the Landice U7 are adjustable to support different riding positions and body sizes. Resistance controls are built into the handlebar tips for convenience.
The seat is padded and contoured for comfort. Its position is easily adjusted without tools for a wide range of user heights. There are 12 up/down settings.
For on-board digital entertainment you can set a tablet computer on the console shelf; add a 19” Landice Vision System TV monitor; or attach a TV from another brand.
Heart rate can be monitored with contact grips. However, these may require up to 45 seconds of contact before a readout is provided. The most convenient way to measure heart rate is with a wireless heart rate transmitter sold separately.
Amenities include a three-speed cooling fan, a bottle holder and an accessory pocket.
For convenience and energy conservation the U7 is cord-free. The console electronics are powered by the rider instead of mains electricity.
Landice upright bike dimensions are approximately 45″ L 25″ W x 58″ H. This unit weighs 159 pounds and has transport wheels.
