Introduction

Yowza is a reputable company, highly regarded for their consistent production and design of quality treadmills. If the reputation of the brand is really important when shopping for a new treadmill, you can bank on Yowza.

The Yowza Siesta is the brand’s “entry-level” treadmill, but still has plenty of quality features.

The treadmill is equipped with a 2.5 HP motor, 20″ x 55″ running surface, 24 workout programs, LCD display, low maintenance deck, swing-arm technology and variable cushioning, as well as two different methods for heart rate readouts.

Workout Programs

Packaged with 15 pre-defined workout programs and 9 user-profiles, the Yowza Siesta has a fair amount of exercise routines already built-in to the trainer.

In addition to the heart rate control program, users get fifteen 30-minute and 45-minute speed interval programs, four additional pre-set programs, three distance programs and a weight loss workout.

In terms of workout programs, the only major knock on the Yowza Siesta is that it’s not compatible with iFit Live.

Treadmill Features

The size of the motor (2.5 HP) is not terrible, but since the Yowza Fitness Siesta only reaches speeds of 10mph you should reserve it for walking and light jogging.

Additionally, the size of the deck (2o” x 55″) and max user weight (300 lbs.) are adequate but not overly impressive. If you are a bigger user you may have issues with the size of the running surface.

What is special, though, is the floating deck and swing arm shock absorption. Both are designed to provide extra comfort while exercising and hopefully reduce impact to your always vital ankles, knees, hips and back.

Stay cool on the Yowza FItness Siesta with two cooling fans.

In terms of electronics, the Yowza Fitness Siesta offers LCD display, iPod/mp3 compatibility and built-in hi-fi speakers.

The compact trainer also folds when not in operation, and features what Yowza likes to call a “low maintenance” deck.

Warranty & Guarantee

The Yowza Fitness Siesta offers the following warranty and guarantee:

– Frame: Lifetime
– Motor: Lifetime
– Parts & Electronics: 5 Years
– Labor: 2 Years (in-home)

Call (877) 969-9240 (option #2) to report your service issue, check on the status of a parts order and/or receive other general information.

Conclusion

In a competitive price range, the Yowza Siesta has managed to stand-out with interesting new production and technology found on the deck.

The swing-arm technology and variable cushioning give the user a really comfortable workout experience on a low maintenance “floating deck”.

If you need something that is compact and comfortable, consider the Yowza Siesta.
