Our Rating

Rating: 47.9/100. Bare essential entry-level treadmill provides an affordable means to exercise and little else. Due to the size of motor and deck, treadmill is not the most stable trainer we’ve seen for larger users.

Pros:

  • EasyPulse heart rate monitor for quick readouts
  • Compact trainer folds for extra storage
  • Stay motivated with built-in RaceTrack display
  • Monitor treadmill/exercise data with LCD display
  • QuickSpeed controls for speed/incline adjustment
  • Comfort Cell Cushioning beats walking on asphalt

Cons:

  • Running surface not adequate for larger users
  • Rather poor warranty coverage (1 year max)
  • Manual incline means you have to stop exercising and move yourself

Introduction

The Weslo Cadence G-40 is an appropriate purchase for some users, and not quite so ideal for others.

First and foremost, the Cadence G-40 is a bargain compact trainer with a small running surface and motor that will suit smaller users that prefer walking/light jogging just fine.

It is not, however, a great buy for larger users seeking a more intense workout. The frame is a little shaky at higher speeds, and the motor and running deck are smaller than average.

Workout Programs

Four trainer designed workout programs allow consumers to burn fat, lose weight and stay motivated. The program variety is not amazing but they’ll get the job done.

The Weslo Cadence G-40 also includes pulse grips for a quick and effective heart rate reading.

The Cadence G-40 is not compatible with iFit Live or other advanced workout programs, which is not all that surprising considering the price paid.

It does, however, feature the resourceful RaceTrack display which visually displays your workout progress in the form of a 1/4 mile track with motivational messages.

Treadmill Features

The Weslo Cadence G-40 features blue-tinted LCD display (with RaceTrack simulation), keeping you abreast of all exercise vitals.

Comfort Cell Cushioning is designed to produce less stress on bones and joints (compared to exercising on asphalt) on a 16″ x 50″ running surface.

QuickSpeed controls enable users to quickly adjust speed and incline as they exercise.

The Weslo Cadence G-40 reaches speeds of 10 mph (suitable for walkers/light joggers) and offers 3-position manual incline.

The compact treadmill does fold when not in operation and is fairly transportable.

Conclusion

Compare to other budget treadmills.
