Treadmills with Fans Buying Guide
Treadmills fans are often overlooked when shoppers make treadmill comparisons. After all, other factors such as horsepower and track size are most important. But when all else is pretty much equal, the presence of a treadmill fan seals the deal. The fan is built into the console and blows cool air toward your face and neck, helping you stay comfortable and avoid dehydration. Some treadmills also have fans for cooling your whole body. Treadmill fans operate more quietly than standard fans you might plug into a wall outlet, plus they are more convenient to use.
The main differences among treadmill fans are size and speed. Looking at the product images in our treadmill reviews, you’ll notice that some fans are very slim. The largest treadmill fans are about 8″ wide. Most have just one speed setting, but some treadmill brands such as ProForm feature two-speed fans.
