Our Rating

Rating: 94.7/100. The PRO 2000 is a member of ProForm’s top treadmill series. It’s built with large rollers to promote machine longevity, is powerful enough for runners, and is equipped with workout guidance and entertainment features. It lacks the colorful web-enabled touchscreen found on higher models in the PRO Series, and using iFit with this treadmill requires investing in an iFit monitor ($99). Even so, the PRO 2000 is a very popular home treadmill option at just $1,299.

Pros:

  • Large running surface (22″ x 60″)
  • Top speed 12 mph
  • Power incline and decline (-3% to +15%)
  • iPod-compatible with port and 3″ speakers
  • 32 built-in workout apps
  • iFit-compatible for unlimited workouts
  • Lifetime guarantee on frame, deck and motor
  • Backlit data screen
  • Tablet computer shelf
  • SpaceSaver (Foldable)

Cons:

  • Sometimes slow customer service
  • Tablet computer placement obscures data screen
  • A monitor (sold separately for $99) is required for iFit

While the PRO 2000 Treadmill has great basics and appealing perks, it’s entry level in its series. Another option from the ProForm PRO Series is the 7500 model with 7″ touchscreen and web browser. An iFit monitor is not required on the PRO 7500; programming can be accessed on your own tablet computer or smartphone.

Introduction

The ProForm PRO 2000 Treadmill has all the essentials of a proper treadmill for runners, plus it’s enhanced with ample built-in training support and can be upgraded with an iFit monitor.

The PRO 2000 can power workouts for trainees weighing up to 350 pounds. (For best performance in the long term though, about 300 pounds is the limit.) It has a 3.5 CHP motor and a comfortable 22″ x 60″ running surface. A built-in library of 32 workout apps assist with exercise for weight loss, endurance and other fitness goals. This ProForm treadmill is also compatible with iFit.

Perks include an iPod-compatible port, Intermix Acoustics 3.0 speakers and a shelf for holding a tablet computer.

The PRO 2000 Treadmill carries an excellent warranty package (see below). For the sale price of $1,299, this popular home treadmill can be a great asset for walkers, joggers and runners alike.

Workout Programs

Benefit from the guidance of a certified personal trainer! The PRO 2000 is loaded with 32 workout programs designed by a fitness professional. These programs automatically adjust the treadmill’s speed, incline and decline.

The ProForm PRO 2000 Treadmill is also iFit-compatible. By adding an iFit monitor ($99) you can enjoy the many features of this popular fitness technology. iFit members can download new and customized workout programs any time, automate data tracking and create interactive Google Maps workouts. The Google Maps feature lets you virtually train outdoors anywhere in the world. Simply map any real-life route and experience it with a Google Street View. The PRO 2000 will automatically adjust its incline and decline to mimic the terrain.

To help you exercise in your target heart rate zone, the PRO 2000 has contact pulse sensors and also includes a chest strap for wireless pulse monitoring.

ProForm PRO 2000 Features

A top feature on this ProForm treadmill is the automated incline and decline. This feature not only helps banish boredom, but also enables faster calorie burn and better muscle toning. Training on an incline also reduces the physical shock of running by shifting your weight to exert less pressure on your knees and ankles.

The track exceeds industry standards in terms of size. Its surface is 60″ long and extra wide at 22″. Its ProShox™ cushioning makes running on the treadmill a more joint-friendly experience than training outdoors on asphalt.

A port is provided for connecting your iPod or other MP3 player. The PRO 2000 Treadmill has 3″ speakers integrated with its console.

The ProForm PRO 2000 also features a tablet computer shelf and an accessory tray.

Exercise data are shown on a 7″ screen. This screen isn’t ProForm’s most advanced display, but it’s a good size and is backlit for easy viewing.

A workout fan is built into the treadmill console. It has two speeds to help keep you comfortable.

Letting you reclaim floor space after workout time, this ProForm is designed for virtually effortless foldability with SpaceSaver technology.
