Introduction

In terms of power, the ProForm Power 1080 is equipped with a 3.25 CHP motor that offers a little more juice when compared to your average 2.5 or 3.0 CHP motor.

The motor is a little louder than some of the others on the market that we have reviewed, but that is the only legitimate beef with the Power 1080 treadmill that also sports a quality size deck and sturdy frame.

In addition to the general specs, the Power 1080 also has some pretty cool toys, including built-in Wi-Fi for quick access to iFit Live, Workouts with Google Maps, advice from TV personality Jillian Michaels, and Set-a-Goal Workout Center.

Workout Programs

If you want a treadmill that has a diverse range of workout programs — the ProForm Power 1080 is really hard to beat.

The Power 1080 provides 32 workout apps, including 20 Calorie-burn Workouts and 10 All-terrain Workouts.

In addition to the Certified Personal Trainer programs, users can also tap into iFit Live created by TV-personality Jillian Michaels. iFit is a really personable feature that allows you to customize your exercise routine.

Across the street or around the world, users may draw up their own virtual workout terrain with Google Maps. Pick a map and the treadmill automatically adjusts speed and incline based on the actual territory.

While you exercise you’ll get useful advice from “America’s Toughest Trainer” Jillian Michaels. Afterwards, head over to iFit.com and monitor progress as well as track nutrition, weight loss goals, and other resources.

If that is not enough, the ProForm Power 1080 also is equipped with Dual-Grip EKG Heart Rate Monitor which helps you stay within a target heart rate zone.

The ProForm Power 1080 also presents exercise routines just for you via there Set-a-Goal Workout Center.

Treadmill Features

The ProForm Power 1080 is music friendly with iPod compatibility and 2.0 Intermix Acoustic speakers.

Navigating through workout stats and options is easy with the ProForm 1080 thanks to the colorful 7″ touch-screen display.

Concerned about delicate joints? One of the many advantages of owning a treadmill is reduction of stress on joints (compared to running on asphalt) and the Power 1080 delivers with ProShox Elite 2 Cushioning. Not only does the air-based cushioning system reduce impact on joints, but also provide a more comfortable running surface.

When not in use, the ProForm Power 1080 easily folds with patent SpaceSaver folding technology. While the treadmill is technically compact, it’s not easily transportable at 300 lbs.

Quick Incline and QuickSpeed controls enable to quickly make adjustments on a treadmill that reaches 12 mph speed and 15 percent incline.
