Introduction

The ProForm 590T retails at $799, yet features iFit Live, iPod dock, built-in speakers, workouts with Google Maps, Dual-Grip EKG heart rate and LCD display.

What gives?

ProForm certainly is getting customers interested in all the extras, but at the end of the day it all comes to the output of the trainer. Is it powerful enough? Will the frame support daily use over several months?

Workout Programs

The ProForm 590T is equipped with 16 pre-defined workout programs.

In addition to the pre-defined workouts, the 590T is also compatible with iFit Live (iFit Module sold separately) and Workouts with Google Maps.

If you are unfamiliar with iFit, each program is designed by a Certified Personal Trainer and is accessible via a little card that plugs directly into the treadmill’s console. From there, the 590T will automatically adjust speed and incline, while the voice of the personal trainer provides further direction.

The ProForm 590T also allows you to exercise with Google Maps. This means that the technology recreates an actual map (or create your own) and the speed and incline adjusts to the real terrain. From there, compete and compare race times with people across the world.

Treadmill Features

The ProForm 590T has done a nice job of staying up with the latest electronics.

It’s hard not to like all of the toys included with the ProForm 590T, including the iFit technology, iPod dock, LCD display, and Google Maps interface.

However, the motor (2.25 CHP) and deck 20″ x 55″ are average compared to competitors.

The ProForm 590T also features ProResponse Cushioning, labeled by the manufacture as “superior absorption system” designed to reduce impact on joints by 15 percent when compared to running on asphalt.

The trainer also features SpaceSaver folding design, which ultimately provides more space in your home/apartment when not in use.

Warranty & Guarantee

The ProForm 590T treadmill sports lifetime on frame and 25 years on motor.

- Frame: Lifetime
- Motor: 25 Years
- Parts: 1 Year
- Labor: 1 Year

ProForm offers a 30-day trial period on all products. Contact 1-866-896-9777 for more information on warranty or return.

Conclusion

All things considered, the ProForm 590T is a decent treadmill.

It’s loaded with a ton of electronic toys, though the smaller motor and inaccuracy of the heart rate monitor makes the quality of parts questionable.
