Our Rating

Rating: 94.3/100. The TRM 425 is a luxury treadmill in Precor’s Precision Series, a collection featuring commercial quality treadmills for home use. These treadmills have the same components as Precor treadmills you might use at a health club, but they have lower prices and longer warranties for home environments. (The parts are under warranty for ten years.) The impressive TRM 425 is ideal for power walking and jogging to help you drop weight quickly, tone your lower body and support good heart health.

One highlight of this Precor is its automated ramp, which gives you an incline range of -2% to +15% for extra calorie burn and muscle sculpting. Whatever incline level you choose, shock absorbers support your comfort and help you train for longer time periods; the cushioning is advanced with extra firmness provided at your point of push-off. Combined with Precor’s special stride technology, it noticeably reduces the stress of cardio training on your joints compared with outdoor exercise. Another perk of this treadmill is the programming, which supports two user IDs and has nine preset workouts. Introduction

Get club-quality treadmill training at home! The TRM 425 is a top quality treadmill in the Precision Series, Precor’s top line of home treadmills. A main benefit of ownership is Precor’s virtually no-maintenance design; the TRM 425 can handle heavy fitness club traffic but is sold with a 10-year parts warranty for your home use. It goes beyond reliable basics too: This luxury trainer supports two user profiles and has nine workout programs. Additionally the TRM 425 supports both wireless and touch heart rate monitoring, has compatibility with smartphones and iPods, and features a SmartGrip™ tablet computer holder to help you make the most of workout time. Precor’s current online sale price includes a ten-year parts warranty, a three-year console warranty and other buyer protections. Read on for details about its programming, other features and excellent warranty.

Workout Programs

The Precor Precision Series TRM 425 has nine workout modes to help you train efficiently. Choose from manual mode, two interval training programs, and workout programs named Weight Loss, Aerobic, Basic HRC, Cross Country, Hill Climb and Random.

Data shown are Time Remaining, Time Elapsed, Calories, Calories/Minute, Heart Rate, Target Heart Rate, Distance, Pace, Average Speed, SmartRate® Zone (three zones), Incline, Speed and Percent Complete. Following each workout a summary with four session statistics is shown (Time Elapsed, Total Calories, Total Distance, and Speed). Users can choose from metric and US Standard formats.

Two user profiles are supported. Advantages of having a profile are the ability to bring up your most recent workout, to quick-start a distance workout with your preferences, and to get more accurate data about calorie burn and your target heart rate zone.

Precor TRM 425 Features

For extra motivation during treadmill time you can attach your tablet computer to the Precor 425’s console without obscuring your exercise data. The console also has volume controls for your iPhone, Android smartphone or iPod. The TRM 425 data display is a high contrast blue and white LCD.

Precor Precision treadmills support pulse monitoring with touch sensors and also arrives with a wireless Polar-compatible chest strap.

The TRM 425 treadmill has a top quality 56″ x 20″ track. The track is multilayered for quiet operation and overall treadmill durability. It runs over a Ground Effects® Impact Control System to make training lower-impact on your joints compared with outdoor walking or jogging.

Precor’s Integrated Footplant Technology™ reduces stress on your joints by instantly adjusting the treadmill’s belt speed to the movement of your foot throughout your stride.

For metabolic boosts and extra muscle definition, this Precor treadmill has a smooth power ramp with -2% to 15% range. The incline motor has up to 1,000 pounds of thrust.

Warranty & Guarantee

The Precor TRM 425’s competitive warranty includes:

– Frame: Lifetime

– Parts & Wear Items: 10 years

– Console: 3 years

Conclusion

The Precor TRM 425 is a world-class treadmill. While its $3,999 sale price is above average for home treadmills, that price is combined with a 10-year parts warranty to bring an overall good value. This treadmill has the same impressive performance as Precor’s commercial fitness machines and is highly recommended for home gyms in which walking or jogging is the focus for cardio training. Look for an online sale price of $3,999… Full price is $4,999 but Precor treadmill sales are frequent.
