Our Rating

Rating: 72.3/100. Cheapest elliptical produced by Yowza Fitness, Largo offers quite a few features that compare to higher priced Yowza ellipticals. Not the most compact trainer, but does feature  fixed 15 percent incline and wireless heart rate monitoring.

Pros:

  • EMS Braking System with 16 resistance levels
  • Stride length accommodates most users (18″)
  • Solid robotically power coated steel frame
  • Music ready (iPod, built-in speakers)
  • Sure-Fit pedal design for more comfort
  • Dual action handle bars for upper body workout

Cons:

  • Does not fold (not the most compact elliptical)
  • No built-in cooling fan (common in this price range)
  • Workout selection adequate, but could be more diverse

Introduction

Yowza was launched by Leao Wang, the genius behind many patents on treadmills and ellipticals.

He formerly worked with Smooth Fitness and has since attempted to create a competitive brand with Yowza Fitness.

The Yowza Largo was originally priced at $1,099, but has since dropped substantially to a more affordable $699.

Workout Programs

The Yowza Largo offers 9 workout programs and 9 user profiles for a solid variety of pre-defined options.

The pre-defined workout programs include: Manual, Target Time/Distance/Calories, Random (w/ 50 different variations), Interval, Endurance, Watts Control, Fat Burning and Heart Rate.

In addition to the built-in programs the elliptical also provides wireless grip pulse heart rate monitor.

The Largo will satisfy most users thanks to the 16 individual levels of resistance and 18 inch stride length.

Elliptical Features

Easily one of the best features of the Yowza Largo is the smooth performance of the EMS Braking System. The state-of-the-art design of the maintenance free, roller-less (and track-less) rear direct-drive maintains a quiet operation.

The Yowza Largo also features Sure-Fit pedals that pivot on cushioned rubber buffers.

Users will appreciate the quick resistance controls on the handlebars and “ramp less” incline. The 16 individual levels of resistance, 18″ stride length and 330 lb. max user weight frame will support most users.

The traditional dual action handle bars provide an upper body workout to go along with your legs.

Last but not least, this elliptical is compatible with iPod/mp3 players and boosts Hi Fidelity speakers.

Since the Yowza Largo is an “entry-level” elliptical, the trainer does lack a few standard specs including a built-in cooling fan which is fairly common these days.

Warranty & Guarantee

The Yowza Largo elliptical features a limited warranty.

Conclusion

The Yowza Largo is not the best elliptical on the market, but at $699 it is a bargain and noteworthy in a competitive price range.
