Best Elliptical Machines Over $2,500 of 2024

Home ellipticals over $2,500 tend to support very high quality, very low-impact exercise. Some are identical to fitness club machines but masquerade with different model numbers for home use. Most could serve for many years before calling out for maintenance... and your body could minimize its own complaints too as you shift from harsh exercise to low-impact cross training.

Choosing from ellipticals over $2,500 you can almost take a few features for granted. Striding should feel remarkably natural with excellent syncing of upper body & lower body motion. These cross trainers tend to fit at least 95% of adults in terms of body height and weight, and they can deliver the right amount of resistance to people at all skill levels. And beyond providing excellent essentials, these trainers usually have high quality workout programs and are the most likely to supply power-adjustable stride for extra cardio challenge and targeted muscle toning.

Having confidence in the essentials, you can have fun shopping with a focus on special features such as color touchscreens and mobile app integration. Five of the best high-end home ellipticals for 2019 are shown on our chart below.

Elliptical Machines Over $2,500 Buying Guide

Our elliptical trainer comparison chart above shows five top options for home gyms and commercial fitness centers. The chart has links to full elliptical reviews, but right here we share some tips about what you can generally expect from an elliptical machine priced at $2,500 or more.

Stride is one of the most important factors to consider when choosing an elliptical machine. Choosing a machine priced at $2,500 and up, you don’t need to be concerned that the stride will feel choppy. These units all have heavy drives for smooth momentum and their elliptical footpaths are sized to support the natural stride of the typical trainee. Additionally many $2,500-and-up ellipticals have adjustable stride lengths to accommodate an even wider range of leg lengths. An extra advantage of this feature is that each user can use more than one elliptical path for workout diversity.

Some of the best ellipticals don’t have adjustable stride, but they do offer a variety of elliptical paths thanks to adjustable incline. Typically the maximum incline settings range from 10% to 20%. Adjusting the incline alters the stride angle to train different muscle groups, boost calorie burn and enhance the cardiovascular challenge.

Beyond having strong drives and ergonomic footpaths, the best elliptical trainers have moving arm bars. The moving arm bars give trainees the option of total body training instead of just lower body training. On the best ellipticals the hand grips on these bars can comfortably support multiple gripping positions for upper body workout variety.

High tech features commonly found on $2,500-and-up ellipticals include USB ports for data sharing and charging devices, docks for MP3 players and holders for tablet computers. Some of these ellipticals have touchscreens, high definition TV monitors, web browsers and Bluetooth connections for use with mobile fitness apps.

A small number of folding ellipticals for home use fall into this price category too. See our individual elliptical reviews for reliable options.
