Introduction

The LifeSpan EL3000i offers a total body workout without putting a ton of stress on the vital parts of your body such as the joints and back.

Outfitted with a 20 inch stride length and narrow pedal spacing, the EL3000i supports your natural walking and arm motion to make the elliptical both effective and effortless.

The elliptical has a really great pedal design as the blue gel pads on each pedal absorb the impact from your heel, which is why many exercise enthusiasts label it one of the more comfortable trainers available.

Workout Programs

The LifeSpan EL3000i is packaged with 19 pre-defined workout programs.

Categories include: Weight Loss (5 programs), Healthy Living (5 programs), Sports Training (7 programs), User Setup (2 slots) and Heart Rate Control (2 programs).

In addition to the pre-defined workouts, consumers who purchase the LifeSpan EL3000i also get automatic access to the LifeSpan Fitness Club.

Membership includes a fully personalized website where you can track important exercise data as well as define fitness goals.

The two heart rate programs are also a great addition to the EL3000i. Get quick heart rate readouts via the built-in pulse grips or wireless chest strap included with your purchase.

The My Zone Constant program keeps your heart rate at a constant level — thereby using your heart rate as a fitness tool — while the My Zone Interval program lets you enter your own minimum and maximum hear rate.

Treadmill Features

It’s not always easy to separate one elliptical from another, however we can truthfully say that the LifeSpan EL3000i is distinctive thanks to the integrated USB storage device.

Simply plug in the USB while exercising and remove from the machine after you are finished. Plug the USB into your computer and automatically save exercise data for online analysis. The USB interface works nicely with the included membership to LifeSpan Fitness Club.

The elliptical will satisfy most users with a 20 inch stride length and closely spaced pedals that emphasize the natural walking stride. However, it would have been nice to see LifeSpan add some type of incline to the trainer.

The LifeSpan EL3000i features an audio center and built-in speakers that will keep you motivated while exercising.

The multicolored LCD console provides several simultaneous readouts and exercise programs to help you achieve your health and fitness goals. The display tracks your time, calories, distance, steps, heart rate, speed, and resistance level, with large soft-touch keys helping you get started and control your resistance level.

For added comfort, the space between the treadmill’s handlebars narrows as you extend your arms forward and then widens as you swing them by your side, providing a natural range of arm and leg motion.

The LifeSpan EL3000i does not offer a cooling fan or quick controls, two common features for ellipticals in this price range.
